In Peru, we operate across most economic sectors—including mining, agriculture, and fisheries—forming part of the value chain for their products and services. **Job Description** * Conduct sampling of raw materials aboard vessels arriving at Chata. * Prepare samples and perform analyses using the NIR instrument, reporting data on the assigned platform. * Perform additional analyses on raw materials, such as fragmentation, broken belly, percentage of bycatch, percentage of juveniles, etc. * Verify the calibration status and operational condition of equipment under your responsibility. * Participate in the verification program established by the Central Laboratory Coordinator. * Follow the TBVN Sampling and Analysis Procedure for Raw Materials from Fishing Vessels Discharging at Chatas. * Conduct physical and organoleptic evaluation of raw materials. * Identify nonconformities and propose corrective/preventive actions specific to your assigned activities. * Report required data and information. * Maintain order and cleanliness in designated laboratory facilities at Chata. * Perform other similar duties as directed by the Employer or immediate supervisor, based on operational needs and requirements. **Requirements** * Graduate, bachelor's degree holder, or professional title in a related field: Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Food Engineer, Food Industry Engineer, Fisheries Engineer, Fisheries Biologist, Fisheries Technologist, Chemical Technician, or related discipline. * Minimum 6 months of experience in similar positions or work in fish processing plants and/or frozen food facilities; sampling and analysis in fish processing plants or similar settings. * Intermediate-level Excel proficiency. * Knowledge of test methods. * Desirable: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Process Control Quality. * Maritime Seafarer’s Certificate for Naval Vessels (MAN). **Additional Information** * Formal employment registration from day one. * Statutory Life Insurance. * Ongoing training opportunities. * Corporate partnership agreements.
