**Junior Civil Engineer – Designer** **Location:** Moquegua / Ilo / Arequipa / Tacna **Shifts:** 8 x 6 **Reports to:** Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Lead **Work Framework** This role is part of the Civil Engineering team within the consortium and participates in engineering development for mining environment projects, focused on earthworks, civil works, concrete and steel structures, platforms, drainage, and linear works. The junior civil designer develops drawings, performs 2D/3D modeling, prepares quantity takeoffs, and supports basic civil calculations, ensuring compliance with technical criteria, applicable standards, and BIM standards. Continuously interacts with Surveying, Geotechnics, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical/Instrumentation, BIM, Cost Estimating, Construction, and the client's team, ensuring constructible, coordinated, and properly documented deliverables. **Objective** Perform civil-structural design and modeling under the supervision of the senior engineer, producing reliable, accurate, and timely engineering deliverables. This role develops capabilities in: * Earthworks, platforms, and grading, * Foundations and concrete elements, * Steel structures, * Drainage and basic hydraulics, * Multi-discipline BIM integration, * Quantity takeoffs and estimations, * Document management and version control. The purpose is to strengthen the civil discipline from design through construction support, contributing to project scope, schedule, and quality achievement. **Key Responsibilities** * Produce civil drawings (platforms, cuts/fills, foundations, walls, drainage, steel structures). * Perform 2D/3D modeling using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit depending on project phase. * Prepare quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, and steel. * Support basic civil calculations for foundations, walls, and structural elements. * Integrate topographic and geotechnical data into 3D models. * Incorporate comments, updates, and revisions within the BIM environment and document management system. * Participate in technical meetings and multidisciplinary coordination sessions. * Comply with client and consortium safety standards and procedures. * Properly organize and archive native files, PDFs, transmittals, and versions. **Formal Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree or Civil Engineer. * Proficiency in: AutoCAD (advanced), Civil 3D (intermediate), Revit (desirable). * Basic knowledge of: * Peruvian National Building Code (RNE), ACI, AISC, ASTM, AASHTO, civil design criteria in mining. * Soil mechanics, drainage, basic hydraulics. * Civil works modeling and quantity takeoffs. * Use of spreadsheets for engineering applications. * Availability to work on-site according to project phase. **Experience** * Prior experience in mining or industrial projects (internships, pre-professional, or junior professional roles). * Involvement in civil drawing development and 2D/3D modeling. * Experience in quantity takeoffs and use of CAD/Civil 3D software. * Participation in BIM environments is desirable. **Specific Knowledge** **Ability to:** * Model platforms, grading, drainage, and linear works. * Prepare MTOs (Material Take-Off) for concrete, steel, and earthworks. * Integrate geotechnical and topographical criteria into design. * Manage models and drawings within BIM/CDE environments. * Review basic interferences during multidisciplinary coordination. * Produce deliverables following the project's documentation process. **Social Process Skills** * Multidisciplinary teamwork. * Adaptability to the mining environment and high safety standards. * Clear communication and ability to consult and receive feedback. * Time management and attention to detail. * Ability to learn quickly and apply technical concepts. * Collaborative mindset and respect for cultural diversity on site. **\*\*We value local talent\*\*** Job type: Full-time Application question(s): * Do you currently reside in Moquegua or nearby areas?
