Degree holder and professionally licensed. 4 years of experience as a Field Technical Office Engineer and/or Planning and Project Control Engineer and/or Construction Scheduler in structural steel, building, industrial facility, civil works, and/or electromechanical construction projects within the mining sector. Proficiency in Last Planner System and Lean Construction tools (Lookahead, PPC, Constraint Matrix). Preparation of progress valuations, client substantiations, change orders, and final settlements. Preparation of construction schedules. Preparation of value-loaded schedules and S-curves. Preparation of RFIs and weekly/monthly project reports. Intermediate-level Microsoft Office. Intermediate-level MS Project or Primavera P6 (mandatory). Intermediate-level AutoCAD. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and manage RFIs and notifications (NCs) arising from ambiguities, inconsistencies, or interferences identified in engineering documents or on site. Support the site resident by developing the master plan, lookahead/3-week plan, and weekly activity plan for field operations. Determine crew sizes and timely request personnel, materials, and equipment required for activity execution. Update the field execution schedule, reflecting re-plans and adjustments agreed upon with the site resident and/or client. Update the constraint matrix and assigned responsibilities weekly, and track resolution of each constraint until closure. Update the planned vs. actual S-curve daily or weekly (depending on project scale), and forecast progress trends to alert the site resident of deviations. Update the Percent Plan Complete (PPC) weekly and conduct root-cause analysis for non-compliance. Prepare actual quantity take-offs and record labor, material, and equipment usage along with daily progress via Daily Reports (RD), applying the control item structure. Prepare and issue weekly and monthly project progress reports—including S-curves, critical milestones, and deviations—for submission to the site resident and client. Manage calculation records and required technical approvals, with support from the engineering department. Support headquarters in recording actual project costs and comparing executed costs against the target budget. Record, control, and track documentation related to weekly constraint resolution, coordinated with assigned responsible parties. Prepare monthly progress valuations for the client based on contractual rates and physical progress measured on site. Prepare and manage client-required technical reports and valuation substantiations (photo panels, measurements, confirmations). Record occurrences potentially impacting cost, schedule, and/or scope, and manage change orders (initiation, budgeting, quotation, approval/denial tracking). Coordinate with headquarters on budgets for construction change orders and requests for schedule extensions, including appropriate technical and economic justification. Support field preparation of RED-LINE drawings to facilitate change management and traceability of modifications to approved engineering. Coordinate with engineering on AS-BUILT drawings as contractually defined close-out deliverables. Participate in daily and weekly project team meetings and client meetings. Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports to the site resident, management, and client.
