Job Summary: We are seeking a Stationary Engine Mechanical Technician to diagnose, maintain, repair, and tune internal combustion engines, ensuring their proper operation, safety, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: 1. Diagnosis and repair of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines (gasoline and diesel) 2. Maintenance of gardening, forestry, and agricultural equipment 3. Interpretation of technical manuals and preparation of reports We are currently looking for a Stationary Engine Mechanical Technician to join our team at GRUPO AUTOMOTRIZ DEL SUR SAC. Main Responsibility: Perform diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and tuning of 2-stroke and 4-stroke internal combustion engines—both gasoline and light-duty diesel—installed on gardening, forestry, agricultural, and motorized equipment, ensuring correct operation, safety, and reliability of the equipment. Secondary Responsibilities: \- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and combustion-related faults in motorized equipment. \- Operate and test repaired equipment, verifying startup, RPM, pressure, flow rate, and overall performance. \- Interpret technical manuals, parts lists, and equipment diagrams. \- Record completed work, identify required spare parts, and report equipment status. \- Maintain order and cleanliness in the workplace. \- Prepare service reports. \- Comply with industrial safety regulations. Experience: \- Minimum 6 months of experience in maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines. Knowledge: \- 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. \- Gasoline and light-duty diesel engines; also experience with motorcycles. \- Basic electricity applied to engines. \- Interpretation of technical manuals and parts lists. Desirable Qualifications: \- Possession of A2A driver’s license (non-exclusive). \- Availability for workshop-based work and occasional field assignments. \- Experience with equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters, lawn mowers, motor pumps, and generators (non-exclusive). \- Ability to work under pressure during peak-demand seasons.
