You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Metso’s and its clients’ HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) systems, policies, objectives, programs, standards, and procedures related to Hazmat and Fire Control at service locations; advising personnel to enhance performance in control and related actions. What You’ll Do Supervise the execution and/or compliance with established objectives, programs, standards, and procedures, in accordance with Metso Perú S.A.’s HSE policy. Enforce legal, regulatory, internal Metso Perú S.A. regulations, and client requirements at units where Metso Perú S.A. provides services. Communicate relevant Hazmat and Fire Control topics to personnel for their awareness and appropriate action. Train Field Service personnel on Hazmat and fire prevention topics. Develop and review necessary documentation for planning, implementation, control of chemicals, and fire prevention in services. Conduct inspections during maintenance and handling of components containing or transporting hazardous materials. Inspect fire extinguishing equipment. Continuously identify substandard acts and conditions and manage corrective actions to prevent occupational accidents. Comply with national occupational health and safety regulations concerning hazardous materials and fire prevention. Train and supervise workers’ activities, verifying adherence to established standards and procedures for handling hazardous materials and fire containment. Coordinate with clients’ fire brigades, conducting training sessions, drills, and inspections across all areas. Prepare and promote internal campaigns for chemical handling and fire prevention. Support and advise on investigations of incidents related to chemicals and fire emergencies. Update the risk observation database related to chemical handling and fire prevention. Who We’re Looking For Technical or university degree. Specialization in hazardous materials and fire prevention. Certificate of completion of hazardous materials and fire prevention courses. Five years of experience in hazardous materials management and fire prevention. Knowledge of OSH (Occupational Safety and Health). Familiarity with national OSH legislation regarding hazardous materials and fire prevention. Intermediate Office software skills. Ability to manage and organize physical and digital files.
