It is a private, non-profit organization with over thirty years of experience, specialized in raising, managing, and channeling financial resources for the implementation of programs and projects that contribute to biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation and adaptation. 3\. What are we looking for? To hire the services of a Local Monitor in Lima, who will ensure compliance with technical-administrative tasks and directives in target regions or other assigned areas. 4\. Responsibilities * Provide specialized technical assistance to rural communities, producer associations, and other local actors during the application and implementation stages of Competitive Fund initiatives, ensuring they meet established technical, social, and environmental criteria (Lima region or other project intervention zones). * In coordination with the Monitoring Specialist, coordinate and carry out the technical and operational implementation of project activities in intervention regions and localities, in coordination with the technical team and within institutional guidelines. * Manage and follow up on logistical, administrative, and operational requirements necessary for the efficient execution of activities under their responsibility, coordinating with organizational support units. * Administer, schedule, manage, and monitor the application and monitoring platform (VFORM and VTRACK) used for the efficient execution of each Puna Competitive Fund call. * Monitor progress and achievement of project goals and indicators, including field verification of funded initiatives, validation of evidence, and preparation of technical follow-up reports. * Monitor and update technical indicators of the Puna Competitive Fund, ensuring methodological consistency and alignment with logical frameworks, theories of change, and project evaluation tools. * Prepare, analyze, and consolidate periodic technical reports, ensuring timely and appropriate data recording in institutional monitoring systems, and contributing to evidence generation for decision-making. * Systematize and analyze information generated by the Puna Competitive Fund, producing analytical reports, executive summaries, and lessons learned documents to feed into continuous improvement processes of the project. * Administer and maintain updated territorial databases, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency, and coordinating with the institutional monitoring team for integration into global systems. * Collect, process, and analyze relevant statistical and geographic information for the design and updating of dashboards, maps, and territorial monitoring tools. * Represent the project technically in meetings with local authorities, grassroots organizations, strategic actors, and partners, coordinating actions and generating territorial synergies according to institutional guidelines. * Supervise the proper use of equipment, materials, and resources assigned to the project, ensuring compliance with Profonanpe's rules, procedures, and protocols. * Promote and ensure compliance with institutional policies, values, ethical standards, transparency, and internal directives within the framework of activity implementation in the field. * Prepare technical records, minutes, logs, and documentation of meetings and activities carried out, maintaining an updated and systematized archive for management, follow-up, and auditing purposes. * Organize, safeguard, and maintain project information according to document management criteria, ensuring accessibility, traceability, and backup on physical and digital platforms. * Perform other related tasks assigned by the Monitoring Specialist or the Project Manager. 5\. Academic Background * Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Biology, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields. * Desirable: training courses related to biodiversity and agrobiodiversity management and conservation, ecosystem restoration, or similar topics. 6\. Experience * Minimum of 6 years of experience in project monitoring and follow-up. * Desirable experience in international cooperation projects. * Specific experience of at least 3 years managing competitive fund projects or development programs related to climate change. * Specific experience of at least 3 years implementing projects related to natural resource management and/or agricultural value chains and/or ecosystem-based adaptation measures with rural communities. * Experience in fieldwork managing or coordinating activities in rural areas and/or with highland peasant communities. * Desirable experience in systematizing and analyzing information (statistical, geographical, or management-related). 7\. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies * Proficiency in office software tools (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management). * Knowledge in designing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and planning tools and methodologies. * Intermediate to advanced skills in geographic information systems (QGIS, ArcGIS, or others). * Digital monitoring tools for indicator tracking and information visualization (Ms Project, Power BI, others) will be valued. * Desirable knowledge in nature-based solutions and monitoring (e.g., Qochas, hydrological monitoring, others). * Effective communication skills, negotiation ability, and strong interpersonal relationship management at all levels. * High capacity for engagement in multicultural environments, applying gender and intergenerational approaches. * Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to work in rural areas. * Availability to travel to project sites. 8\. Contract Duration The initial contract period will be three (3) months, subject to a probationary period, under a fixed-term employment contract, with potential renewals based on performance evaluation. 9\. Work Location The position will be based in Lima and conducted under a hybrid modality, with potential in-person meetings at Profonanpe and other institutions as required by project needs and job functions. The role also involves frequent travel to project implementation regions. 10\. Compensation The compensation for services rendered is fixed, gross, and monthly, amounting to S/ 6,000.00 (six thousand Peruvian soles), subject to legal deductions, withholdings, and benefits. 11\. Supervision The Local Monitor in Lima is a full-time position.
