Lead and manage the Process Engineering team to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality development of tailings improvement projects.

**POSITION MISSION:** Lead the team of professionals and external consultants specializing in Process Engineering in coordination with the leaders of the "Tailings System Improvement" project to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of engineering across conceptual study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and execution phases (detailed engineering, construction, commissioning), while complying with industrial safety, environmental (MASSC), and other applicable criteria.
**FUNCTIONS:**
Functionally manage professionals and external consultants in the field of Process Engineering by establishing a resource allocation plan and monitoring and controlling the "Tailings System Improvement" project according to established priorities, technical specifications, and project standards.
Develop, approve, and update design criteria, discipline-specific drawings for the "Tailings System Improvement" project, as well as internal work procedures and discipline-specific standards.
Supervise the proper execution of discipline-specific activities per agreed commitments, coordinating with relevant entities of the main contractor, user department, and construction team.
Timely report on the status of the discipline throughout the project portfolio lifecycle, providing support during execution phases using tracking and control tools.
Control expenditures and costs associated with activities under this discipline.
In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to build, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. The Toromocho Mining Unit is the first world-class copper mine fully executed and developed from inception abroad by a Chinese enterprise. It is located in the district of Morococha, Yauli Province, Junín Department, at an altitude exceeding 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tons of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises within China Copper and CHINALCO’s largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and professional registration in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, or METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING.
Minimum 10 years of general experience, including 4 years in the sector and 5 years in the position.
Intermediate-level English proficiency.
Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Project.
Basic-level Aconex proficiency.
Experience in design, supervision, and control of tailings dams (desirable).
Class A1 driver’s license (desirable).
Availability to work under a 7X7 schedule.
