We seek a **Senior Mining Engineer with specialization in Corporate Finance and Project Evaluation** to join our multidisciplinary team. This strategic role serves as the primary bridge between technical-operational analysis of ore deposits and investment decision-making, asset valuation, and financing.
The selected candidate will lead the technical-economic evaluation of mining projects across various stages, build complex financial models to support executive decision-making, and oversee technical *due diligence* processes for merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, project finance (*Project Finance*), and capital investment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Economic and Financial Modeling:** Build, audit, and update advanced financial models (DCF, NAV, sensitivity and scenario analyses) for mining projects at PEA, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, and Operations stages.
* **Technical and Reserves Evaluation:** Analyze and interpret mine plans, resource/reserve estimates, metallurgical recoveries, CapEx, and OpEx to validate the technical viability and economic profitability of assets.
* **Due Diligence Processes:** Lead comprehensive technical reviews of investment opportunities, M&A, *joint ventures*, or mining debt structuring in coordination with financial institutions.
* **Market and Commodities Analysis:** Monitor macroeconomic trends, metal price dynamics, and industry cost curves (AISC / Cash Cost) to advise on strategic decision-making.
* **Executive Reporting:** Prepare technical opinions, valuation reports, and risk assessments directed at investment committees, boards of directors, and financial partners.
* **Multidisciplinary Coordination:** Collaborate with geology, mine planning, corporate finance, investment banking, and legal advisory teams.
**Requirements**
* **Academic Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering. A Master’s degree (MBA), specialized certification, or financial credential (CFA, Corporate Finance, or M&A) is highly desirable.
* **Experience:** Minimum of 3–5 years of combined experience in mining planning/project evaluation and/or mining investment banking, private equity funds, or technical financial consulting.
* **Required Technical Knowledge:**
* Advanced proficiency in mining-focused financial modeling in Excel.
* Familiarity with international resource and reserve reporting standards (JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC, or equivalents).
* Experience with risk simulation tools (Monte Carlo) and mining engineering software (Whittle, Datamine, Deswik, or similar).
* **Languages:** Advanced or fluent English (required for preparing international reports and business meetings).
* **Key Skills:** Analytical thinking, methodological rigor, executive-level synthesis ability, and excellent interpersonal communication.
