Job Summary: This role involves providing operational support across various stages of copper flotation, grinding, tailings thickening, primary crushing, and filtration processes. Key Highlights: 1. Support in copper flotation operations 2. Support in grinding and crushing processes 3. Support in tailings thickening and area cleaning Responsibilities Provide support in copper flotation process operations at all stages, including monitoring operational parameters and reagent addition, controlling centrifugal pumps, and managing copper concentrate pulp tank levels. Provide support in grinding process operations (SAG mill and ball mill, pebble crushers, conveyor belts, and hydrocyclones), aiming for maximum throughput, effective mineral fragmentation and crushing, appropriate grind size distribution and slurry density in each unit, driven by pumps and classified in hydrocyclones according to established parameters. Provide support in tailings thickening operations, including tailings discharge pump and auxiliary system operation, tailings discharge shear system, flocculant lines, and Geho pumps. Provide support in measuring, controlling, and verifying operational parameters for flotation, grinding, and tailings thickeners. Provide support in cleaning various areas (flotation, grinding, and tailings thickening) using designated procedures and equipment during shift hours. Record incidents occurring during the shift and communicate them directly to the relieving operator. Provide support in primary crushing and filter operations (monitoring conveyor belts, electromagnetic separators, magnets, centrifugal pumps, storage tanks, submersible pumps, and concentrate filters). Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor aligned with departmental objectives. In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to construct, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. Toromocho Mining Unit has been the first world-class copper mine fully executed and developed from inception overseas by a Chinese enterprise. It is located in the district of Morococha, Yauli Province, Junín Department, at an elevation exceeding 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tonnes of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises within China Copper and CHINALCO’s largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary. Requirements **Required Knowledge:** Knowledge of mining safety, occupational health, and environmental practices in plant operations. Control of operational parameters. Pre-operational inspection of the grinding circuit and auxiliary systems. Operation of the tailings thickening circuit and pulp transfer. Operation of conveyor belts, crushers, and screens. Operation and control of tailings pumps and auxiliary systems. Dosing of flotation reagents. Operation of flotation cells, pumps, and concentrate thickeners. Operation of mills and hydrocyclones. Startup and shutdown of filtration equipment. **Requirements:** * Completed secondary education. * Minimum 2 years of general experience, including 1 year in the mining sector and 1 year in the same position. * Basic-level proficiency in Excel and Word. * Availability to work under a 7x7 work regime.
