Job Summary: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on electrical substations to ensure system availability and reliability. Key Highlights: 1. Knowledge of mining safety, occupational health, and environmental protection **JOB MISSION:** Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical substation equipment in compliance with safety regulations and standards, following established procedures and manufacturer manuals, to ensure the availability and reliability of the electrical system within MCP. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or immediate manager, aligned with departmental objectives. * Perform maintenance and electrical testing on power transformers (high-, medium-, and low-voltage). * Perform maintenance and electrical testing on switchyard equipment, unit substations, and electrical rooms, including: power circuit breakers, GIS cells, disconnectors, lightning arresters, voltage and current measuring/protection transformers, relays, and others (high-, medium-, and low-voltage). * Perform maintenance on auxiliary services, distribution panels, air conditioning systems, pressurization systems, and lighting panels. * Perform preventive maintenance and testing on grounding systems. * Apply condition monitoring techniques via inspection routes to power transformers and/or other electrical equipment as scheduled by MBC. * Prepare reports on scheduled activities, failure reports, and other reports as requested by Supervision during operations. * Support other departments within the Electricity Management or other management units in activities related to the specialist’s expertise, subject to prior coordination with the supervisor or immediate manager. In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to build, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. Toromocho Mining Unit has been the first world-class copper mine fully executed and developed from inception overseas by a Chinese enterprise. It is located in the district of Morococha, province of Yauli, Junín Department, at an altitude exceeding 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 metric tons of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises under China Copper and the largest wholly foreign-owned subsidiary of CHINALCO. Requirements **1\.\- Education:** ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN **2\.\- Experience:** 4 years overall, 3 years in the industry, 2 years in the position **3\.\- Technical Tools:** EXCEL (Basic), WORD (Basic), POWER POINT (Basic) **4\.\- Certifications:** Degree holder in the relevant field. **5\.\- Licenses:** Class AI driver’s license (minimum 3 years of validity) **KNOWLEDGE:** * Condition-based maintenance of power transformers and electrical equipment * Preventive and corrective electrical maintenance of substation equipment * Knowledge of mining safety, occupational health, and environmental protection specific to electrical substations * Testing of substation protection relays * Electrical testing of power transformers rated at 220 kV, 23 kV, 7\.2 kV, and 4\.16 kV * Power electrical systems, electrical equipment, protection systems, and auxiliary equipment Benefits Benefits according to applicable law and MCP compensation policies.
