Control expenses and costs of activities under their discipline. **JOB MISSION:** Supervise the work of professionals and external consultants specializing in Mechanical Engineering, in coordination with project leaders, to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of engineering activities across conceptual study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and execution phases (detailed engineering, construction, commissioning), while complying with industrial safety, environmental (MASSC), and other applicable criteria. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** Supervise the work of professionals and external consultants in Mechanical Engineering, establishing a resource allocation plan and monitoring and controlling various projects according to established priorities, technical specifications, and project standards. Develop and update design criteria, mechanical-piping drawings for their specialty across the project portfolio, as well as internal work procedures and discipline-specific standards. Supervise the proper execution of activities within their specialty according to agreed commitments, coordinating with relevant entities of the main contractor, user departments, and construction teams. Timely report on the status of their discipline throughout the project portfolio’s development, providing support during execution phases using monitoring and control tools. Control expenses and costs of activities under their discipline. In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to build, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. The Toromocho Mining Unit is the first world-class copper mine fully executed and developed from inception abroad by a Chinese company. It is located in the district of Morococha, province of Yauli, department of Junín, at over 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tons of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises of China Copper and CHINALCO’s largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary. Requirements Bachelor's degree and professional license in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering. Minimum 8 years of general experience, including 4 years in the mining sector and 3 years in the same position. Intermediate-level English proficiency. Intermediate-level proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Project. Basic-level Aconex proficiency.
