Position Summary: Administer and coordinate the preparation and updating of geological models and mineral resource estimates for mining plans. Key Highlights: 1. Administration and coordination of 2D and 3D geological modeling. 2. Evaluation and preparation of monthly reconciliation reports. 3. Design and updating of diamond drilling programs. **POSITION MISSION:** To administer, control, and coordinate tasks related to the preparation and updating of 2D and 3D geological models (MinePlan and LeapFrog), medium-term mineral resource estimation (based on double-bench and blast-hole drilling) and long-term mineral resource estimation (based on diamond drilling) for the Toromocho deposit, and to deliver updated medium-term and long-term model information to the Mineral Control Engineer and Planning Team, thereby supporting the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual mining plans in accordance with guidelines and procedures established by the Modeling Engineer while maintaining information confidentiality. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Prepare and update 2D and 3D geological models (alteration, lithology, and grade) using blast-hole data (short-term), double-bench drilling (30m), historical DDHs, bench mapping, etc. (medium-term), and submit the updated medium-term model (lithology, alteration, % lithology, % alteration, metallurgy, XRD, ROPH) with projections to Planning. * Evaluate and prepare monthly reconciliation reports (tonnage, grades, geology) across short-, medium-, and long-term models versus concentrator plant and dispatch data; coordinate with Planning and Production Control to ensure proper reconciliation of material sent to the plant. Owner of the medium- and long-term resource models and all related modifications. * Administer, execute, and coordinate geological modeling and geological resource estimation processes for the Toromocho deposit, applying geostatistical methods, specialized software, and database quality control. Where specialized consulting firms are engaged, ensure that geological interpretation, geological modeling, and mineral resource estimation comply with appropriate standards (e.g., JORC). Review and validate Competent Person Reports (CPR) and resource estimation reports. * Evaluate and verify estimation methodologies for the medium term (lithology, alteration, mineralization, material type, Cu%, As%, Ag g/t, Mo%, Zn%, Fe%, hardness parameters, density updates, talc XRD). * Design and update diamond drilling programs (INFILL, GEOMETALLURGY, RESERVE EXPANSION); support development of scopes of work for diamond drilling activities; participate in technical evaluation of contractors bidding for diamond drilling services, chemical analysis, gyroscopic surveys, resource estimation, etc. * Prepare and submit monthly resource inventory reports indicating measured, indicated, and inferred material tonnages. * Update long-term 2D and 3D geological interpretations for area projects (lithology, alteration, mineral zones, mineralogy) based on blast-hole logging, slope mapping, logging and re-logging of historical drill core, resource models, chemical assays, XRD, XRF, core photographs, etc.; incorporate these new geological units into long-, medium-, and short-term models. E.g., Breccia Units. * Validate medium-term information at the pit face through prior coordination with Ore Control and Mine Geologists. * Evaluate and develop re-logging and sampling plans for updating geological models for medium- and long-term contaminant and geometallurgical variables. * Prepare EW and NS sections, geological plans, grade maps, contaminant maps, mineralogical maps, etc., for both medium- and long-term planning. In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to construct, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. Toromocho Mining Unit has been the first world-class copper mine executed and developed end-to-end overseas by a Chinese enterprise. It is located in the district of Morococha, province of Yauli, department of Junín, at over 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tonnes of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important companies within China Copper and the largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary of CHINALCO.
