General Job Objective Supervise, control, and validate the proper execution of civil and structural works within the power plant complex, ensuring that concrete pouring, support structures, foundation works for heavy equipment (including the powerhouse and turbine bases), and finishes strictly comply with the technical documentation, international civil construction standards, and the project's accelerated timelines. Main Responsibilities and Functions * Structural Control: Inspect formwork, reinforcement steel placement, and concrete pouring processes for massive foundations and hydraulic or mechanical support structures. * Quality Assurance: Supervise and validate quality control tests for fresh and hardened concrete (slump, compressive strength, concrete cores) and soil testing. * Topographic Verification: Continuously monitor topographic surveys, leveling, layout marking, and embedded anchor bolt installation intended for subsequent mechanical equipment assembly. * Civil Interface Handover: Coordinate daily with the Mechanical Supervisor on civil interface handovers (release of foundations and structures) to enable timely equipment installation. * Progress Control: Monitor the civil contractor’s performance against the master 2-month schedule, identifying critical deviations early and proposing mitigation plans. * Civil Safety: Ensure order, cleanliness, and correct application of safety regulations for excavations, work at height, operations involving heavy machinery, and earthmoving activities. Candidate Requirements * Academic Qualification: Licensed, registered, and duly certified Civil Engineer. * General Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience as a supervisor, inspector, or field engineer in large-scale civil works, preferably in hydroelectric or thermal power plants, substations, or complex industrial plants. * Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of concrete mix design, quality control of mass concrete, seismic-resistant design of heavy equipment foundations, and local construction regulations. * Digital Tools: Proficiency in software tools used for supervision (AutoCAD, advanced reading of civil/structural drawings, and basic-to-intermediate MS Project skills). * Availability: Immediate availability for on-site work in San Ramón (Chanchamayo) under an intensive 2-month service period.
