Job Summary: Lead the operational strategy and implementation of improvement projects using advanced analytics to maximize productive and financial performance while complying with standards. Ensure maximization of productive and financial performance. **JOB MISSION:** Lead the implementation of operational strategy and improvement projects by applying advanced analytics, modeling, and simulation tools, supported by the operational improvement team and in coordination with line management, superintendence, operations team, and mine technical services, to ensure maximization of productive and financial performance while complying with production, safety, and environmental stewardship standards. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Formulate, evaluate, and execute OPEX and CAPEX projects based on technically and economically sound studies (70%), and provide support in scenarios that complicate KPI achievement (30%). * Provide field technical support to various areas of the production process, defining strategies for the production process. * Conduct metallurgical evaluations of operating conditions across different stages of the production process, identifying findings and recommending improvement actions. * Collaborate synergistically with all process areas, evaluating production operational variables and continuously optimizing plant performance. * Continuously evaluate consumable performance in coordination with the metallurgical laboratory. * Develop stochastic forecasting models for expected production and risk analysis of target achievement, in coordination with the operational improvement team. * Lead sampling audits, sample preparation, data preparation, and mass balancing, standardizing standard sampling protocols for comminution and flotation circuits. In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to build, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. The Toromocho Mining Unit is the first world-class copper mine fully executed and developed from inception overseas by a Chinese enterprise. It is located in the district of Morococha, province of Yauli, department of Junín, at over 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tonnes of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises within China Copper and CHINALCO’s largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary. Requirements **1\.\- Degrees:** METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING **2\.\- Experience:** 8 years overall, 8 years in the mining sector, 3 years in the position **3\.\- Certifications:** Mineral Processing, Process Control, Advanced Analytics, Process Modeling in Concentrator Plants, Mine-to-Mill, Digital Transformation Applied to Mining Processes, Practical Problem Solving (Lean \- Kaizen) **4\.\- Licenses:** Degree holder, registered with professional association, and licensed to practice; Driver's License Class A \- 1 **KNOWLEDGE:** * Comminution and grinding processes. * Flotation and thickening processes. * Characterization and handling of diffraction equipment. * Qualitative and quantitative recognition. * Metallurgical testing. * Grindability and experimental development. * Grade analyzers and particle analyzers. * Online samplers and splitters. * Continuous improvement in mineral processing. * Knowledge of mining safety, occupational health, and environmental practices in metallurgy.
