Description

Position Summary: Support the review, validation, preparation, and updating of mining plans and geological information, as well as support activities related to geological logging and geological interpretations. Key Highlights: 1. Support in reviewing and validating shift-based mining plans. 2. Support in preparing information for mineral polygons. 3. Support in logging activities and preparing geological interpretations. **Responsibilities:** Support the review and validation of shift-based mining plans (e.g., shift handover reports including prior shift progress, results, face grade data from blast holes, updated plans). Support the review and preparation of required information for developing mineral polygons (in Minesight) per the manual, ensuring consistency in alteration types, lithologies, and metal content. Support updating plans with shift-based progress (e.g., alteration, AsCon, CuOx, hardness, lithology, Mo, recovery, talc, etc.), polygon tonnages and grades, and recording necessary information for report generation. Support geological logging of blastholes per the PET, recording geological data and verifying compliance with geological surroundings (e.g., upper benches, slopes). Support preparing medium-term 2D geological interpretations for area projects (e.g., lithology, alteration, mineral zones, mineralogy), utilizing blasthole logging data, slope mapping, historical core logging and re-logging, resource models, chemical assays, XRD, etc. Provide support in preparing required reports and documentation. In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to construct, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. Toromocho Mining Unit has been the first world-class copper mine fully executed and developed by a Chinese enterprise overseas from inception. It is located in the district of Morococha, province of Yauli, department of Junín, at over 4,500 meters above sea level. It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tonnes of ore per day. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises within China Copper and CHINALCO’s largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary. Requirements Graduate or bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering or related engineering disciplines. Ranking in top third or top fifth of class. Intermediate-level English proficiency (mandatory). Intermediate-level Excel proficiency (mandatory). Intermediate-level Minesight proficiency (mandatory). Basic-level Leapfrog proficiency (mandatory).
