




Position Summary: We are seeking a Bachelor of Library Science to coordinate, manage, and supervise specialized library collections, resources, and services, supporting teaching and research. Basic-level English language proficiency. Minimum 1 year of experience in similar positions. Availability to work on-site in Chiclayo. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Planning and management of physical and digital collection development. Collection evaluation and usage analysis for decision-making. Subscription management and technical negotiation with information providers. Proficiency in virtual training and communication environments (videoconferences, virtual classrooms). RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate with faculty members, school directors, and academic units to identify informational needs and bibliographic requirements, ensuring collection relevance to curricula and research lines. Supervise thematic balance, diversity, currency, and adequacy of information resources in all formats to guarantee appropriate coverage of academic and scientific demands. Manage selection and acquisition processes for books, databases, journals, electronic resources, and other bibliographic materials, ensuring efficient investment aligned with institutional priorities. Analyze usage indicators, academic impact, curriculum relevance, and cost-benefit ratios of acquired resources to support decision-making and optimize the library budget. Respond to specialized inquiries related to collection development and provide technical support for auditing, licensing, and academic accreditation processes. Design and coordinate specialized library services oriented toward supporting scientific research, innovation, and institutional academic production. Provide technical advisory to faculty and researchers on advanced scientific information searching, literature review, thematic analysis, and strategic use of academic sources, enhancing research quality. Support faculty and researchers in managing their academic identity and scientific visibility, including author profiles, signature standardization, and correct institutional affiliation. Advise on copyright, open licenses, and responsible use of scientific information, promoting best practices in academic ethics and integrity. Coordinate and conduct workshops, seminars, and specialized training on advanced information competencies, scientific searching, academic writing, and academic publishing processes. Identify emerging information needs and propose new services or resources to strengthen library support for teaching and research. Identify opportunities for projects, calls for proposals, and external funding linked to research, open science, and capacity building, contributing to the library’s strategic development.
