REQUIREMENTS: Technical degree in electromechanics, maintenance mechanics, or a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions. Availability to work on-site in Chiclayo. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Courses in laboratory management, biosafety, hazardous waste handling, or technical equipment maintenance (desirable). Knowledge of measurement tools. Knowledge of industrial safety. Proficiency in electric motor operation. Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge. Basic inventory management knowledge. Intermediate-level Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect the condition of the conveyor belt and overhead rail (tension, alignment, and cleanliness). Inspect electrical panels and connections to ensure safe power supply to motors. Prepare and configure workstations according to the day’s practice guide. Set up measurement instruments (stopwatches, tachometers, luxmeters, etc.) or other materials as required. Assist faculty in setting up scaled production lines. Supervise students operating equipment under industrial safety standards. Respond promptly to minor technical failures or transport system blockages. Collaborate in timing and data collection during complex experiments, as directed by faculty. Perform motor and electrical system shutdown and lockout procedures. Organize and conduct inventory of tools and materials used. Report technical incidents requiring specialized corrective maintenance. Ensure the laboratory remains optimally organized and clean. Support supervision of equipment and facility condition, cleanliness, and functionality to guarantee operational readiness and prevent risks or failures during practical sessions. Record receipt of materials, supplies, and equipment, and update inventory to maintain appropriate and traceable control over laboratory resources. Carry out stabilization treatment of special waste and coordinate its collection to ensure proper final disposal in compliance with current regulations.
