Position Summary: We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the comprehensive management of a rice mill, optimizing processes and ensuring operational continuity, efficiency, and profitability. Direct participation in strategic decisions OPERATIONS MANAGER – RICE MILL **Company:** Molino Latino **Location:** Lambayeque / Ferreñafe **Work Mode:** On-site **Position Type:** Full-time POSITION OBJECTIVE Assume comprehensive leadership of mill operations, with direct responsibility for **operational continuity, industrial efficiency, cost control, product quality, and financial results**, leading processes of **standardization, deviation correction, and structural optimization**. This role demands not only supervision but also **the ability to intervene and make high-impact decisions**, aimed at stabilizing, reorganizing, and making the operation profitable in the short and medium term. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES **1\. Comprehensive Operational Management and Control** * Plan, organize, and direct all stages of the production process: harvesting, drying, milling, aging, reprocessing, and dispatch. * Ensure uninterrupted mill operations, minimizing downtime and bottlenecks. **2\. Campaign and Supply Chain Management** * Ensure proper receipt, handling, and processing of raw materials during harvest campaigns. * Coordinate harvesting volumes and plant capacity according to commercial demand. **3\. Efficiency and Yield Control** * Define, monitor, and correct key performance indicators: milling yield, losses, moisture content, recovery rate, and productivity per ton. * Implement immediate corrective actions in response to technical deviations or operational losses. **4\. Process and Cost Optimization** * Identify operational inefficiencies and execute improvements in production processes. * Control and reduce operating costs (energy, labor, reprocessing, waste). **5\. Infrastructure and Contingency Management** * Make decisions regarding infrastructure issues, critical maintenance, infestations, or other operational contingencies. * Ensure appropriate operating conditions at the plant and warehouses. **6\. Leadership and Personnel Management** * Lead, organize, and strengthen the operational team (department heads, supervisors, and operators). * Implement operational discipline, attendance control, performance monitoring, and functional compliance. * Address workplace climate issues through authority-based and organization-focused approaches. **7\. Operational–Commercial Integration** * Align mill operations with commercial department requirements (quality, volume, delivery timelines). * Ensure consistency between production and sales. **8\. Regulatory Compliance and Standards** * Supervise compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), food safety, and quality standards. * Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), procedures, and on-site controls. **9\. Information Management and Decision-Making** * Prepare and report operational management KPIs to General Management. * Make timely decisions based on technical and production data. REQUIREMENTS **Education:** * Industrial Engineering, Agro-industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years leading operations in industrial plants. * Experience in agro-industry or rice mills (highly preferred). * Experience in high-pressure operational environments or restructuring initiatives. **Knowledge:** * Rice drying, milling, sorting, and aging processes. * Yield and loss control, and industrial efficiency management. * Operational KPI and cost management. * OSH and on-site risk management. * Advanced Excel, Power BI.
