Basic use and maintenance of tools and equipment DESCRIPTION A leading company in the metalworking industry is currently seeking a Workshop Assistant with experience working at heights to join its operations in the southern region. The main objective of this position is to provide support in layout, assembly, fabrication, installation, and erection of parts and structures, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment, as well as compliance with safety, order, and cleanliness standards. This role is primarily operational and workshop-based; therefore, it requires a hands-on, responsible individual oriented toward teamwork, capable of performing fabrication and erection tasks, and willing to carry out work at heights. #### **Responsibilities** * Assist in layout, assembly, and fabrication of parts and structures. * Provide support for installation and erection tasks. * Perform work at heights in accordance with established safety procedures and standards. * Use and perform basic maintenance of workshop tools and equipment. * Support manufacturing processes for stainless steel equipment and structures. * Operate hand and power tools such as angle grinders, drills, bending machines, and surface grinders, among others. * Assist the team in various operational activities required in the workshop. * Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. * Strictly comply with the company’s established safety rules and procedures. * Promptly report any unsafe conditions or issues identified during activities. REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 6 months’ experience in metalworking workshops. * Experience performing work at heights. * Proficiency in using hand and power tools: angle grinders, drills, bending machines, surface grinders, etc. * Completion of TIG welding or related courses is desirable. * Experience in fabrication, assembly, or erection of metal structures is desirable. * Availability to work Monday through Saturday. * Residence in the southern region is desirable. * We seek a responsible, proactive, committed individual with willingness to learn. * Commitment to safety, order, and cleanliness standards.
