MISSION Perform all maintenance operations efficiently; in emergencies, respond proactively and effectively while maintaining high standards of commitment, communication, safety, and environmental care. FUNCTIONS Carry out instructions and directions from the Head of Electrical Generation and Distribution or the assigned electrical technician, keeping them informed of progress. Execute maintenance orders according to the preventive and corrective maintenance program for generator sets, transformers, substations, and electrical distribution lines. Timely request necessary materials and supplies required for maintenance execution, verify their compliance, and report anomalies or stock shortages. Report any abnormal events in equipment, parts, components, or systems—owned or third-party—that could pose risks to port operations, safety, and environmental protection. Inspect systems, equipment, and components related to port operations within their area of responsibility. These include transmission, power, control, and measurement systems in MV (medium voltage) and LV (low voltage), lighting and power distribution, thermal plants, grounding rods and wells, backup systems, UPS, switchboards, devices, air conditioning units, and auxiliary equipment. Keep routine occurrence reports, specific activity records, performance data, and resource usage up to date. Perform lockout procedures on systems and equipment prior to intervention under both scheduled and emergency conditions. Participate in the operation and maintenance tasks of electrical generation, transformation, and distribution equipment, control and distribution panels, power house, and generator sets. Inform the Area Manager and/or supervising electrical technician about completed scheduled work and equipment failures under their responsibility to promptly obtain replacement parts. Requirements Technical degree in industrial electricity and/or electrotechnics. **Knowledge in:** Operation and maintenance of MCCs, MV switchgear, and industrial panels. Variable frequency drives, soft starters, and SCADA systems. Maintenance of low-voltage induction motors, operation and maintenance of generator sets (generator, synchronization and distribution panels). Lighting systems, grounding systems, and power compensation systems (capacitor banks). Power measurement and power quality systems (desirable). Basic knowledge of protection systems (relays) (desirable). Basic English. Basic Office skills. Blueprint reading.
