REQUIREMENTS  Mechanical Technician, Automotive Mechanical Technician, or similar.  Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in similar positions for 2 years.  Additional courses in Maintenance Mechanics (Desirable)  Class AIIB driver's license. RESPONSIBILITIES  Perform preventive maintenance on Scoop and Diesel Dumper mining equipment.  Carry out repairs on Scoop and Diesel Dumper mining equipment.  Perform maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems on mining equipment.  Perform maintenance and repairs on the mechanical systems of mining equipment.  Ensure a minimum of 80% mechanical availability of mining equipment.  Develop maintenance plans for equipment based on usage hours.  Maintain an updated inventory of supplies for mining equipment maintenance.  Continuously train operators in equipment inspection and operation.  Provide transportation support with a van when operations require it.  Safeguard and maintain assigned equipment, tools, and furniture necessary to perform tasks.
