Functions 1\. Create learning spaces based on the Science and Technology subject approach to support class session development. 2\. Know and enforce the school's Internal Regulations, as well as protocols and directives issued by the school to ensure a healthy coexistence. 3\. Submit, according to the established schedule, the corresponding grade-level Curricular Planning to the Area Guide Teacher to organize competency development and achieve expected learning outcomes. 4\. Understand and report on the characteristics of each student to ensure attention to diversity. 5\. Identify potential issues affecting students' holistic development and refer them to the appropriate department, previously reporting to the Grade Level Coordinator to ensure student well-being. 6\. Ensure student safety and health both inside and outside the classroom to safeguard their physical integrity. 7\. Conduct formative assessments of assigned students to enable timely intervention for improvement in the learning process. 8\. Keep evaluations up to date in the SIAGIE system and the school's platform to inform parents about students' competency achievement levels. 9\. Maintain and oversee the organization of educational resources, materials, furniture, and infrastructure to support the teaching process. 10\. Collaborate collegially and coordinate with the Area Guide Teacher on curricular planning documents to achieve area and/or grade-level objectives. 11\. Schedule personal interviews with parents with prior mutual agreement on date and time to strengthen parents' role as educational partners. 12\. Perform other job-related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor related to the position's objectives. Requirements ● Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, specialized in Science and Technology, or: Science, Technology and Environment, Natural Sciences, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or General Sciences. ● Must not have been convicted of intentional crimes. ● Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. Competencies ● Mastery of the National Curriculum's competency-based approach (competencies, capabilities, standards, performance indicators, and cross-cutting themes). ● Expertise in meaningful learning and understanding student characteristics related to their learning (cognitive and socio-emotional development). ● Proficiency in the subject area approach (scientific inquiry, scientific and technological literacy). ● Didactic knowledge to promote: scientific method-based inquiry, understanding of the physical world through scientific knowledge, and development of technological solutions to solve problems. ● Knowledge of ICT use for learning. ● Knowledge of diversity and inclusion strategies. ● Classroom management skills. ● Proficiency in office software.
