In our hotels, these associates work with all departments (e.g., kitchen, dining, laundry) to support cleaning needs. Whether preparing clean, fresh linens and spotless tableware for our guests’ enjoyment, operating and maintaining equipment and tools (e.g., dishwashers, hand-washing stations, washers and dryers), or transporting tableware or linens throughout the hotel, these associates ensure that tasks are completed. Regardless of your position, certain things are essential for success—the creation of a safe workplace, adherence to company policies and procedures, compliance with quality standards, and ensuring that your uniform, personal appearance, and communications remain professional. Uphold expectations and quality standards; build positive, constructive professional relationships with other employees and departments; collaborate and support one another to achieve shared goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees’ concerns. Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to your manager. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg) without assistance. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Reach objects above head height and below knee level, including bending, twisting the body, pulling, and squatting. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisors that are appropriate to the position.
