This is your invitation to rise above the possible. **Job posting end date:** 12/15/2025 Position Objective Perform customization designs for customer orders and quotations, product care design tasks, and technical support for manufacturing teams and other COE teams worldwide, ensuring compliance with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management System guidelines. Key Responsibilities Create 3D models, drawings, calculations, and general arrangements using Metso’s current design software. Responsible for assigning part numbers in the business system. Assist in developing pump manuals. Identify design change requirements arising from production, quality, and procurement needs. Coordinate with other COE engineers based in other regions for competence collaboration and support. Review proposals with the proposal support team to align order requirements. Approve quality deviations and supplier feedback requiring approval/design updates. Conduct design reviews and make technical decisions on matters related to design and manufacturing. Self-manage daily tasks aligned with overall formal priorities. Other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor in accordance with your job role. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field (with relevance to Mechanical Design Engineering) Minimum 3 years of professional experience performing similar roles in mining or design companies. Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D CAD modeling tools (e.g., Inventor/SolidWorks). Knowledge of structural analysis (e.g., ANSYS). Experience in structural design using structural steel materials. Desirable: knowledge of centrifugal pump or similar machinery design, casting design, welded design. Desirable: familiarity with Teamcenter. User-level proficiency in SAP (PM module). Intermediate/advanced English. Proficiency in office productivity tools.
