**JOB OPENING!** **Location:** Marcona **Full job description** CHECC is looking for the following position: **Position:** Quality Engineer \- Mine * Graduate, licensed and qualified Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial, Civil or related Engineer. * Desired specialization or diploma in Quality Management or Project Management. * Minimum **3 to 5 years of experience in quality control and assurance** in mining projects or operations. * Desirable experience in large-scale mining projects. **Purpose of the Position** Ensure that processes, services, and products developed in mining operations comply with the company's established quality standards, national regulations (ISO, ASTM, ASME, NTP), and contractual requirements, promoting continuous improvement and operational safety. **Technical Knowledge** * Applicable quality standards: **ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ASTM, ASME, AWS D1\.1, API, NTP.** * Material control, NDT testing (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT). * Reading drawings and interpreting technical specifications. * Knowledge of quality management tools (PDCA, 5S, Pareto, Ishikawa). * Proficient in MS Office software and others. **Main Responsibilities** * **Quality control and assurance:** * Supervise and validate the proper implementation of quality control procedures in civil, mechanical, electrical, and metal-mechanical works. * Verify the quality of materials, supplies, and equipment according to technical specifications. * Issue non-conformance reports and follow-up corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). * **Document and regulatory management:** * Develop, review, and update quality procedures, inspection and test plans (ITP), forms, and records. * Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and client internal standards. * **Audits and compliance:** * Participate in internal and external quality audits. * Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality requirements. * **Continuous improvement management:** * Identify opportunities for improvement in production and administrative processes. * Implement continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen). * **Safety and environment:** * Comply with and enforce safety, occupational health, and environmental procedures. * Actively participate in safety talks, inductions, and safety programs. **Personal Competencies** * Technical leadership and effective communication. * Results-oriented and committed to continuous improvement. * Ability to work under pressure and in high-demand environments. * Professional ethics and commitment to safety. **Interested candidates should send documented CVs to the email: reclutamientopersonalhy@gmail.com** Job type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: S/.5,000\.00 \- S/.7,000\.00 per month Work location: On-site job
