




**Job Description:** General Overview: The Import Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive support in foreign trade, international logistics, purchasing, and administration processes, ensuring efficiency, document control, and compliance with established deadlines. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills, accuracy, resilience under pressure, and commitment to results, working under direct supervision from management. Position Objective: Ensure the proper execution of import operations from purchase order to nationalization, optimizing time, costs, and guaranteeing compliance with current customs and logistics regulations. Main Responsibilities: * Manage import processes from order placement to final delivery. * Coordinate with international suppliers, customs brokers, and freight carriers. * Control and review documents (invoices, BL, packing lists, policies, certificates, etc.). * Perform detailed cost analysis per container or batch (freight, insurance, tariffs, local transportation, etc.). * Monitor shipping schedules, transit times, and cargo arrival. * Prepare import and margin reports using advanced Excel. * Internally coordinate with accounting, sales, and warehouse departments. * Maintain updated import records and document traceability. * Negotiate with suppliers on delivery timelines, payment terms, and discounts. * Participate in identifying new international suppliers (Asia, Latin America). * Support administrative tasks, expense tracking, and domestic logistics management. Required Technical Skills: * Advanced Excel: pivot tables, formulas, filters, data consolidation, and simple macros. * Knowledge of Incoterms, customs documentation, and SUNAT regulations. * Advanced English (B2–C1) for fluent communication with international suppliers. * Experience with ERP systems, management software, or accounting/logistics platforms. * Proficiency in corporate email, Drive, Gmail, Google Sheets, and online cargo tracking. * Ability to prepare import cost analyses and financial reports.
