Job Summary: Advise clients on import procedures, ensuring compliance with current regulatory customs procedures and completion in the shortest possible time. Key Responsibilities: 1. Advise clients on import procedures and customs formalities. 2. Categorize and classify shipments for nationalization. 3. Up-to-date knowledge of INCOTERMS and the General Customs Law. The Customs Clearance Support Department of DHL Express Peru is seeking a Customs Clearance Agent. **PURPOSE OF THE ROLE** Advise our customers on import procedures; ensure these are carried out in accordance with current customs regulatory procedures and in the shortest possible time, guaranteeing service excellence. **YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES** * Deliver and collect shipments of all products within our network, within established timeframes. * Accurately categorize and/or classify shipments to ensure prompt nationalization. * Provide guidance to our customers on current import customs processes. * Notify our customers fully, clearly, and using simple language about the requirements necessary to process the nationalization of their shipments, as well as about customs rejections. * Notify our customers via all platforms enabled by the company, in accordance with supervisor instructions. * Register assigned waybills, ensuring timely customs numbering. * Pre-number assigned waybills according to eligibility criteria set by the Import Department. * Thoroughly review customs rejections before notifying customers, to identify all possible options for resolving observations. **WHAT YOU BRING** * Graduate of undergraduate programs in International Business, Foreign Trade, or related fields. * Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar roles. * Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office. * Intermediate-level English proficiency. * Up-to-date knowledge of INCOTERMS, the General Customs Law, and the Express Delivery Shipments Regulation. * Knowledge of handling restricted goods, as well as of control authorities. (Mandatory) * Familiarity with international treaties and benefits. * Basic knowledge of tariff classification
