* Position Details * Application deadline:False June 8, 2025 * Acceptance date:June 13, 2025 * Incorporation date:June 8, 2025 * Academic Department of Law * Position: * Full-time contracted professor * Responsibilities: * Teaching and Research * Minimum Education: * Doctor (Ph.D.) Job Description **Position Details** * Position: Full-time contracted professor * Number of available positions: One (1) * Responsibilities: Teaching and research * Required academic degree: Doctor (Ph.D.) **Job Description** The Academic Department of Law (DAD) at Universidad del Pacífico announces a public competition to fill one (1) full-time professor/researcher position in the specialties of Administrative Law, Civil Procedural Law, and Environmental Law. **Responsibilities** * Teach undergraduate courses in the Law program. * Conduct and periodically publish research in reputable academic law journals, in accordance with the university's Faculty Regulations. * Participate in the activities and institutional development of the Academic Department of Law and Universidad del Pacífico; and assist in requested administrative tasks. **Candidates must meet the following requirements:** * Doctoral degree: Must hold a doctoral degree issued by a Peruvian or foreign university of recognized prestige, duly registered with SUNEDU. * Teaching experience: Demonstrate teaching experience and belong to the top third based on teaching evaluations from the university system where they have served as a professor. * Publications: At least four (4) authored documents (legal articles or book chapters) in the field of Law, published in reputable legal journals or specialized publishing houses. **Documents to be submitted (\*)** * Letter of interest stating reasons for applying for a teaching position. * CV (including simple copies of degrees, titles, and complete list of publications). * Full text copy of two (2) of the candidate’s publications. * Two (2) academic recommendation letters. * Results of teaching evaluation surveys from the last three (3) years at the university where the candidate previously worked. * Work plan indicating proposed courses to teach (minimum 2 and maximum 4 courses), according to our curriculum and any elective courses they may propose. **Schedule: Stages in the evaluation and selection process** **1\. Deadline for submission of application documents:** until June 22, 2025\. 2\. File evaluation period. Decision is final and not subject to appeal. (June 23 – June 24, 2025). 3\. Personal interview with Faculty authorities. Only shortlisted candidates. Decision is final and not subject to appeal. (June 25 – 26, 2025). 4\. Notification of results (June 27, 2025). 5\. Teaching competency assessment. Only shortlisted candidates. Decision lies with the Faculty of Law and is final and not subject to appeal. 6\. Communication of evaluation results to the candidate. 7\. Evaluation process conducted by academic authorities of Universidad del Pacífico (includes in-person or virtual interview with the candidate). Decision is final and not subject to appeal. 8\. Final notification of evaluation results. 9\.
