




CEDIA is a private law, non-profit civil association that for 42 years has promoted and facilitated participatory processes for the sustainable management and organization of territories inhabited by indigenous populations of the Peruvian Amazon, institutional strengthening, capacity development for communities and their representative organizations, participatory management of protected natural areas, and the promotion of fundamental rights of Amazonian indigenous peoples through intercultural and gender approaches, while establishing strategic alliances with the State. In fulfillment of its social objectives, CEDIA is currently implementing projects with the general common goal of closing territorial gaps for indigenous peoples of the Peruvian Amazon in the Loreto and Ucayali regions, through action lines including new community land titles, territorial expansions, and communal boundary rectifications. Additionally, creating large conservation and sustainable management areas, not only of communal territories but also forests or protected natural areas between rivers, where communities act as buffer zones. Within this context, CEDIA is currently seeking to incorporate an **Accounting Assistant** into its Accounting-Administrative team to support institutional accounting management, ensuring the achievement of its objectives. **FUNCTIONS:** * Responsible for reviewing, processing, and recording accounting information from CEDIA projects (through the accounting system). * Assist in preparing information required for project audits. * Assist in fulfilling institutional financial audit requirements for projects. * Support the accountant in preparing monthly and annual tax settlements with SUNAT. * Responsible for organizing physical and/or digital documents within the accounting department. Other tasks assigned by the General Accountant and CEDIA's Director of Administration. **REQUIRED PROFILE** * Graduate or undergraduate student in Accounting, or Technical Accounting graduate from a Higher Institute. * 1 year of work experience, preferably in accounting management for international cooperation projects and social programs. **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE** * Work experience, preferably in accounting management for international cooperation projects and social programs (at least 1 year in a similar position). Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment, word processors, Excel, email, and shared folders. * Knowledge of taxation, tax settlements, account analysis, and bank reconciliations. * Familiarity with the General Business Accounting Plan and budgets. * Experience with accounting systems, preferably those used by NGOs. * Proficiency in SUNAT software for tax filing-settlements: Plame – Income Tax and VAT. * Intermediate-level Office skills.
