You will be accountable for ensuring capital is invested efficiently and effectively by applying the project management system to all capital projects. Other responsibilities include:* Ensure compliance with Dyno Nobel's Safety, Health, and Environmental performance standards. * Live and promote IPL's corporate values. * Align projects with the organization’s strategic objectives, maximizing the value of invested capital. * Support Business Improvement initiatives and ensure participation from all areas of responsibility. * Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of the PMO's Project Management System. * Control capital expenditures to achieve production and financial targets. * Reporting: Develop detailed reports describing the scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks associated with the project. * Team Leadership: Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants, ensuring effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. * Stakeholder Management: Interact with project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns. * Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, conducting risk assessments and implementing corresponding management plans. * Budget Management: Oversee the project budget, control expenses, manage costs, and ensure financial viability. * Quality Control: Ensure all aspects of the project meet or exceed required quality standards and applicable regulations. * Contract Management: Administer contracts with suppliers, contractors, and consultants, including negotiation, implementation, and dispute resolution. * Problem Resolution: Resolve issues arising during the project, adapting plans as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen challenges. * Project Closure: Complete all project documentation, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure deliverables are accepted by the client. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned. * Facilitate collaboration between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication. * Evaluate and select technologies and solutions that improve project efficiency and effectiveness. * Train and develop team members in project management and technical skills. * Other duties as assigned. **Technical Competencies****Education:*** University degree in Civil Industrial Engineering, Civil Works, Mechanical Engineering, or similar, and PMP certification (not mandatory). * Intermediate to advanced level of English and Portuguese. **Experience:** * Minimum of 5 years in project management within mining or infrastructure sectors, with a proven track record in delivering significant projects. * Experience managing Mining Explosives portfolios with a total value exceeding USD$4M and individual projects exceeding USD$1M. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Knowledge of local construction and environmental regulations and standards. * Familiarity with Mining Explosives processes. * Proficiency in project management tools, including Microsoft Project and Excel. * Ability to develop cost estimates and project schedules. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and facilitate discussions.
