MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Position Purpose:* Perform work involved in maintenance services for heavy equipment as established in service contracts with clients (mining companies and/or mining contractors and/or construction projects), at mining units, underground workshops, surface workshops, workings or job sites, or other locations where required, considering technical criteria and safety, health, and environmental guidelines. Specific Responsibilities:* Evaluate equipment under the responsibility of the service contract, report findings, and prepare spare parts requests for scheduled jobs according to accumulated operating hours of equipment components. * Evaluate more complex electrical systems of assigned low-profile equipment. * Repair, refurbish, enable, or replace more complex electrical components such as electrical panels or circuits, among others. * Participate in the repair and replacement of major equipment components such as engines, gearboxes, converters, cylinders, axles, among others. * Respond to high-complexity emergencies and unexpected equipment failures, reducing equipment response times. * Prepare technical reports on equipment condition to schedule future repairs. * Act as team leader, when designated by immediate supervisor, to lead a group of technicians forming a work team. * Coordinate with EHS or supervisor to obtain necessary permits for assigned high-risk tasks (PETS, PETAR, etc.). * Accurately record entry, exit, and break times. * Efficiently use contract resources (PPE, assets, supplies, assigned tools, instruments, etc.). * Conduct practical training or mentoring for junior-level technicians. Requirements:* Technical education in Mechanical or Electrical fields, related disciplines from Technical Institutes (minimum 2 years of study). * Graduate of Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering with specialization in heavy machinery maintenance, maintenance mechanics, production mechanics, or industrial engineering. * 6 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance within Surface Mining Units or UGM, or similar segment served. * Minimum 3 years of experience working with low-profile equipment. * Minimum 2 years of prior experience in defensive driving and hold a valid A2B driver's license. * Possess authorizations established by Sandvik and clients for operating light vehicles (4x4 pickup trucks) under the service contract, provided the employee has been designated to drive a vehicle. * Must have no medical restrictions preventing work at mining units located along the coast, mountains, and jungle regions of Peru, where we have service contracts. (mandatory). * Must have no restrictions regarding the use of PPE, a requirement to perform duties according to legal provisions for affiliated companies, client requirements, and Sandvik (mandatory).
