Description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Position Purpose:* Perform work involved in maintenance services for heavy equipment as established in service contracts with clients (mining companies and/or mining contractors and/or construction projects), at mining units, underground workshops, surface workshops, workings or job sites, or other locations where required, considering technical criteria and safety, health, and environmental guidelines. Requirements:* Technical education in Mechanical or Electrical fields, related disciplines from Technical Institutes (minimum 2 years of study). * Graduate of Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering with specialization in heavy machinery maintenance, maintenance mechanics, production mechanics, or industrial engineering. * 6 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance within Surface Mining Units or UGM, or similar segment served. * Minimum 3 years of experience working with low-profile equipment. * Minimum 2 years of prior experience in defensive driving and hold a valid A2B driver's license. * Possess authorizations established by Sandvik and clients for operating light vehicles (4x4 pickup trucks) under the service contract, provided the employee has been designated to drive a vehicle. * Must have no medical restrictions preventing work at mining units located along the coast, mountains, and jungle regions of Peru, where we have service contracts.
