Job Summary: We are seeking a Geosynthetic Welding Technician with experience in the installation and welding of geomembranes and GCL for mining, environmental, or agro-industrial projects, performing quality testing and equipment maintenance. We operate nationwide with strategically located plants in Piura, Arequipa, Trujillo, and Nazca **REQUIREMENTS:** * Geosynthetic welding technician or related technical degree * Minimum 3 years of experience as a Geosynthetic Welding Technician on mining projects (leaching, process ponds), environmental projects (sanitary landfills), or agro-industrial projects (water reservoirs). * Material Expertise: Proven hands-on experience simultaneously handling HDPE/LLDPE geomembranes (common thicknesses from 1\.0 mm to 2\.5 mm), GCL (Geosynthetic Clay Liner), and geotextiles. * Immediate availability to work in Piura under a 20 x 10 work schedule. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * GCL (Geosynthetic Clay Liner) Installation: Unroll, place, and align GCL layers per project drawings, ensuring minimum required overlaps and preventing premature contamination or hydration of the material. * Geomembrane Deployment: Supervise and execute the laying of geomembrane (HDPE/LLDPE) panels, controlling excessive wrinkling (waves) and protecting the material from mechanical damage during handling. * Thermal Fusion Welding (Double-Wedge Channel): Operate automated hot-wedge machinery to perform primary panel joins, correctly calibrating temperature, speed, and pressure parameters according to site conditions. * Extrusion Welding: Apply filler welds (resin beads) in critical zones, T-joints, patches, repairs, and complex geometric details inaccessible to the wedge. * Air Pressure Testing: Seal both ends of the double-wedge channel and inject air at the standard pressure (e.g., ASTM) to verify no pressure drop indicating leaks. * Vacuum Box Testing: Apply soapy solution and generate vacuum over extrusion weld beads to detect bubbles revealing porosity or defects. * Traceability and Reporting: Assist in marking and recording each weld joint (weld number, operator, temperature, test results) for the Quality Assurance (CQA) dossier. * Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and preventive maintenance on assigned hot wedges, extruders, thermal blowers, and electric generators. * Other position-specific duties. **BENEFITS:** * Full payroll registration with 100% statutory benefits. * Market-competitive salary * All transportation, meals, and accommodation covered by the employer. * Timely payments * Career development path * Pleasant working environment **Note:** **\- "This recruitment is open to persons with disabilities, in accordance with Law No. 29973\."** Salary: S/.3,000\.00 \- S/.3,500\.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
