Steel importing and distributing company is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor Work Location: Magdalena Office Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Work Modality: On-site Formal employment with all statutory benefits (general regime) Compensation: Market-competitive salary. Requirements: Graduate in Industrial Engineering, International Trade, International Business, or related fields. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions. Excel, Word, PowerPoint: Intermediate–Advanced Intermediate English proficiency. ERP system knowledge. Knowledge of customs procedures and related topics. Training in Logistics and Quality Control in the supply chain. Main Responsibilities: Validate compliance with Good Handling Practices (GHP) in goods receipt, procurement, and dispatch processes. Review and approve technical data sheets for imported products in coordination with the Import Department. Manage requests and tracking of samples for coating and paint analysis of imported products. Update, analyze, and monitor laboratory reports and sampling results. Handle customer complaints, investigate root causes, and prepare reports for resolution. Plan and coordinate sampling activities with relevant departments to ensure timely goods release. Prepare and distribute sampling reports to respective departments promptly. Determine classification and reclassification of goods according to established criteria. Coordinate with Sales and Logistics departments regarding returns of goods identified through complaints or non-conformities. Participate in insurance inspections, accompany inspectors, and validate tests conducted in the warehouse. Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and current preventive plans. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
