**Position Objective** Provide technical and operational support in field and office activities for the characterization, documentation, and visual registration of native local potato varieties as a basis for a baseline catalog. **Responsibilities** * Maintenance of experimental and/or community plots (planting, weeding, hilling, fertilization, and basic phytosanitary control). * Systematic photographic documentation (plants, flowers, tubers) according to digital quality and conservation protocols. * Morphological description using standardized descriptors. * Agronomic and ethnobotanical characterization (yield, uses, local names). * Logistical support (materials, coordination with custodian farmers, sample transportation). * Data recording and systematization (databases, technical sheets, digital backups). **Deliverables** * Classified and organized photographic database. * Preliminary morphological data sheets and databases by variety. * Reports and databases of agronomic and ethnobotanical variables. * Inputs for the Native Potatoes Catalog. **Profile** * Education: Agronomy, Biology, Botany, Ethnobotany or related fields. * Experience: 1 year in Andean crop or tuber management; knowledge of morphological descriptors. * Desired: experience in technical/scientific photography. * Competencies: ability to work in the field under varying altitudes and climates, data organization and protection, cultural sensitivity, and willingness to engage with rural farming communities. **Conditions** * Duration: 10 months, with possible extension based on performance and project needs. * Work location: Primarily in fields and communities of Ácora, Puno, with periodic office meetings and/or travel outside Puno. * Supervision: Project Technical Coordinator, in coordination with the research team. **Application Process** · Send an undocumented Curriculum Vitae, motivation letter, and personal and professional references to: peru@wmf.org · Email subject: “Field Assistant – Native Potatoes Catalog – \[First Name and Last Name]” Type of position: Full-time Salary: S/.2,000\.00 \- S/.3,000\.00 per month Work location: On-site employment
