**Safety Engineer – Metalworking Company (Arequipa)** **Position Description:** A metalworking industry company is seeking a Safety Engineer to join our team in the city of Arequipa. We are looking for a committed professional with a preventive focus and the ability to lead safety management in plant and field operations. **Main Responsibilities:** * Supervise and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). * Conduct safety inspections in workshops, plants, and project sites. * Prepare and update IPERC, PETS, ATS, and other preventive management documents. * Develop safety training sessions and talks for operational and administrative staff. * Investigate accidents and incidents, proposing corrective measures. * Supervise the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Coordinate actions with Operations and HR departments to strengthen safety culture. * Maintain updated records and reports required by SUNAFIL and other regulatory bodies. **Requirements:** * Professional degree and professional license in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering or related fields. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in metalworking, construction, or industrial sector companies. * Solid knowledge of Law No. 29783 – OHSMS and its regulations. * Knowledge of trinorma certification. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical reporting. * Availability for on-site work in plant and field environments (Arequipa). **We Offer:** * Opportunity to join a growing company within the metalworking sector. * Positive work environment with a strong emphasis on team safety and well-being. * Professional development opportunities.
