It is a private, non-profit organization with over thirty years of experience, specialized in raising, managing, and channeling financial resources for the implementation of programs and projects that contribute to biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation and adaptation. **What is the context?** The global environmental crisis generates imminent threats to biological diversity and fundamental ecosystem services, affecting the entire biosphere. Despite this, primary interconnected ecosystems still exist that: * Act as a global reservoir of biological diversity. * Store high levels of carbon in biomass and soils. * Contribute to regional and global hydrological cycles. Among these, the Peruvian Amazon stands out for its high environmental value but faces increasing dynamics of degradation and deforestation. Within this framework, the project **"Building human well-being and resilience in Amazonian forests through valuing biodiversity for food security and bio-businesses, in the context of climate change" (Amazonian Forests)** has emerged, with the following objectives: * Promote the conservation of healthy, functional, and climate-resilient forests and wetlands. * Maintain significant carbon reserves and avoid greenhouse gas emissions. * Generate sustainable and resilient livelihoods for local communities. This project is part of the regional program **"Sustainable Amazonian Landscapes (ASL)"**, funded by the **Global Environment Facility (GEF)** and with a five-year implementation period. **Implementing Agencies**: FAO, UNIDO, and IFAD. **National Implementers**: Ministry of the Environment (MINAM) and Profonanpe (operational partner). **Geographic Scope**: * Regions: Junín, Loreto, and Ucayali. * Prioritized landscapes: * **Upper Ucayali–Inuya** (provinces of Atalaya and Satipo). * **Tigre–Marañón** (province of Loreto\-Nauta). **Project Structure** The project is organized into four components: * **Collaborative governance** with all sectors and levels of government. * **Amazonian connectivity** through mosaics of conservation and sustainable use. * **Sustainable production** with responsible practices. * **Knowledge management, monitoring, and evaluation**. **What are we looking for?** A **Coordinator for Component 4: Knowledge Management**, responsible for planning, executing, and supervising activities related to knowledge management, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and impact. **Main Responsibilities** * Plan and facilitate knowledge management processes with MINAM, regional governments, and partners. * Design processes for acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge (local, collective, intercultural, gender-based). * Document processes and identify lessons learned, producing materials (publications, audiovisuals, repositories). * Organize and facilitate workshops and events for experience sharing. * Develop a directory of thematic experts linked to the project. * Ensure the functioning of the Steering Committee with technical and logistical support. * Participate in meetings, trainings, and events with partners. * Support training processes to close local capacity gaps. * Coordinate with specialists in **monitoring and evaluation**, **gender**, and **communications**. * Coordinate with Profonanpe units (DIME, OPI, OID, Communications). * Ensure compliance with regulations, ethical values, and transparency standards of Profonanpe, Implementing Agencies, and GEF. * Perform other duties assigned by the Project Technical Coordination. **Required Profile** **Academic Background** * Degree holder in communication sciences, social sciences, natural sciences, or related fields. * Postgraduate studies in environmental management, knowledge management, social management, or similar. **Experience** * Minimum **8 years** leading knowledge management or innovation areas. * Experience in international cooperation projects on environmental management, biodiversity, forestry, protected areas, native communities, interculturality. * Experience in environmental management and interculturality in public and private sectors. * Desirable experience with Amazonian indigenous peoples. * Proficiency in intergenerational and intercultural ICT for information management. * Experience in communication strategies for diverse audiences. **Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies** * Information and knowledge management. * Gender, intercultural, and intergenerational approaches. * Experience systematization. * Regional and local inter-institutional coordination. * Participatory tools with indigenous peoples. * Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Database management. * Preparation of technical and conceptual reports. **Languages** * Intermediate English (oral and written) desirable. **Other Requirements** * Immediate availability. * Flexibility for frequent travel to Junín, Loreto, and Ucayali. **Contract Conditions** * **Initial duration**: 3 months, subject to probation period. * Modality: employment under a fixed-term contract. * Possibility of renewal based on performance evaluation. * **Workplace**: MINAM offices (Magdalena del Mar, Lima), with frequent field trips. * **Remuneration**: S/ 10,700\.00 gross monthly (subject to legal deductions). **Leadership and Reporting** The **Knowledge Management Coordinator** is a full-time position reporting directly to the **Technical Coordinator of the Amazonian Forests Project**. **Inclusion and Diversity** At Profonanpe, we promote diversity in all its forms: gender, age, education, ethnic origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
