Thus, we invite you to participate in our search for a **Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Tailings Dams.** **Main job responsibilities:** * Provide support to the Engineer of Record (EOR) in the operations of the Cortadera Tailings Storage Facility. * Maintain direct communication and provide support to the Engineer of Record and client, reporting daily on events related to the tailings storage facility. * Support the tailings team and other areas in preparing various reports, reviewing technical reports and/or memos. * Inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with standards, design intent, and technical specifications. * Quality control of monitoring and instrumentation data collection and processing. * Review operational activities such as tailings disposal, seepage management, instrumentation readings, and verification of critical controls. * Safety inspections of the tailings storage facility. * Other duties inherent to the position or as required by the Engineer of Record. * Comply with internal policies and procedures of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety in all assigned activities, among others. \#Peru \#LI\-Onsite **Professional Background:** * Degree holder and registered professional in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum of 12 years of experience in geotechnical assessments and field supervision for tailings dam projects or similar structures within mining projects. * Knowledge of international standards and regulations related to tailings management is desirable. * Valid driver's license is desirable. * Availability to work under an 8x6 schedule. * Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is desirable. * Residing in the southern region of the country is desirable. **Competencies:** * Orientation to excellence * Customer orientation * Collaboration and teamwork * Commitment to the company * Innovation **Why Work at WSP?** **Our vision is to be undisputed leaders in our sector, creating sustainable environments for the future.** We are committed to positive impact and value diversity and inclusion.
