Test Planning and Design:** * Analyze functional, non-functional, and technical requirements of web and desktop systems. * Design and develop detailed test plans, including scope, objectives, required resources, and the testing strategy to be followed. * Create and maintain comprehensive, well-documented test cases covering various usage scenarios, workflows, and potential errors. * Identify and prepare necessary test data for executing test cases. **2. Test Execution:** * Systematically and rigorously execute test cases across different environments (development, testing, pre-production). * Perform functional, regression, integration (especially with APIs), usability, performance, and security testing as needed. * Verify proper interaction between web/desktop systems and the APIs used for data exchange. * Ensure correct handling and display of information from APIs within user interfaces developed in C# or VB.NET. **3. Defect Identification and Documentation:** * Clearly and accurately identify, log, and document defects, errors, and deviations from expected behavior using defect management tools. * Provide detailed and reproducible information about identified defects, including steps to reproduce, test environment, and issue severity. * Track the defect lifecycle from identification through resolution and verification. **4. Communication and Collaboration:** * Effectively communicate test results, identified defects, and software quality status to development team members, project leaders, and other stakeholders. * Collaborate closely with developers to understand root causes of defects and ensure their proper resolution. * Participate in project planning, review, and retrospective meetings. * Train agency staff. **5. Continuous Improvement:** * Contribute to continuous improvement of the testing process by proposing new techniques, tools, and methodologies. * Stay updated on best practices in quality assurance and emerging technologies related to web, desktop, and API development. * Participate in creating and maintaining quality documentation and testing standards. **6. Test Automation (Desirable):** * Identify opportunities for automating repetitive and critical tests. * Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Requirements:** * Technical or university degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. * Minimum of 2+ years verifiable experience in software testing, preferably in web and desktop systems. * Solid understanding of software quality assurance principles and methodologies. * Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases. * Practical knowledge in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects. * Understanding of how APIs (REST, SOAP) work and their integration with web and desktop systems. * Familiarity with programming languages such as C# or VB.NET (at the level of understanding application logic). * Experience using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Redmine, Azure DevOps). * Ability to work in teams, communicate effectively, and solve problems. * Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. **Desirable:** * Experience in performance and security testing. * Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, SoapUI). * Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). * Software testing certifications (ISTQB). * Database knowledge (SQL).
