




The Director of Engineering is a senior leadership role focused on scaling engineering management, driving team culture, and ensuring strong delivery and accountability across projects. This role reports to the Global Director of Engineering and Product. **Key Responsibilities*** Serve as the direct manager for Engineering Managers and select Principal Engineers, providing mentorship, support, and clear performance expectations. * Represent the voice of Engineering Managers in leadership conversations, ensuring they are empowered to lead their teams effectively. * Establish and enforce strong accountability practices around delivery, quality, and communication. * Drive a culture of continuous learning, ownership, and engineering excellence. * Partner closely with Product and Operations to align team structures, priorities, and resourcing. **Organizational and People Leadership** * Develop and scale engineering processes that support rapid iteration, high availability, and optimization across projects. * Support managers in coaching their teams, developing their ICs, and resolving performance issues. * Roll out structured learning programs and growth tracks for engineers across disciplines (IC, architecture, leadership). * Lead strategic hiring and headcount planning to ensure capacity matches company growth and revenue targets. * Foster a fail\-fast culture that supports experimentation while minimizing risk to delivery timelines. **Role Expectations** * This is a leadership track role, not part of the individual contributor track. * You will not be writing code or making day\-to\-day technical decisions. * Instead, you will create the conditions for high performance by enabling tech leads, managers, and engineers to operate effectively. * You will remove roadblocks, align initiatives across teams, and ensure engineering has a clear and consistent voice in company strategy.
