Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Technical Support Engineer to optimize blasting operations, monitor processes, and evaluate results at the mine. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise the implementation of blasting processes DESCRIPTION A leading company engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of explosives is looking for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to perform the following duties: * Coordinate with mine-related departments on the assignment of tasks or work areas to carry out follow-up, monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of drilling and blasting patterns. * Optimize blasting performance indicators through the appropriate use of accessories and explosives. * Enter the mine to assigned work areas, driving the vehicle provided by the company and accompanied by designated personnel for site reconnaissance. * Monitor, collect, and evaluate data from executed blasts prior to implementing recommendations. * Identify errors and failures in personnel performance, as well as non-compliance with established blasting standards. * Verify correct implementation and follow-up of the blasting process, including pattern marking and control of drill hole parallelism. * Supervise charge preparation, loading of blastholes according to recommendations and established standards, and verify on-site compliance. REQUIREMENTS * Graduate in Mining Engineering and/or related fields. * Specialization in underground or open-pit blasting (desirable) * Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar positions within mining companies. * Proficiency in specialized drilling and blasting software such as JK Simblast, I\-Blast, Wipfrag, Blastware. * Experience operating instrumentation equipment, seismographs, microtraps, and devichots. * Knowledge of electronic detonators, as well as emerging technologies such as centralized blasting and pumped emulsion. * Expertise in diagnosing and recommending optimal explosives and accessories for effective blasting. * Experience in designing drilling parameters. * Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
