DESCRIPTION
A leading mining-sector company undergoing strategic transformation, focused on developing large-scale copper operations, is seeking a Senior Electromechanical Engineer to join its Projects Department for a technically high-complexity project.
**POSITION ROLE**
We seek a senior technical professional with experience in electromechanical systems applied to copper concentrator plants, capable of supervising and controlling field execution of electromechanical works associated with a sulfide flotation plant.
This role involves validating engineering deliverables developed by external consultants, ensuring correct on-site execution, and providing technical support to the Projects Superintendent.
Candidates must demonstrate strong execution capability, hands-on experience, problem-solving skills, and proven experience in design, construction, and commissioning (not maintenance only).
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Supervise and control field execution of electromechanical works at the copper concentrator plant.
* Validate, review, and approve engineering deliverables developed by external consulting firms.
* Manage RFIs, RCDs, IDCs, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation.
* Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electromechanical systems.
* Prepare scopes of work and terms of reference for electromechanical engineering services.
* Provide specialized technical support to the Engineering Head and Projects Superintendent.
* Prepare progress reports and manage resolution of technical interferences.
* Coordinate with internal departments including Plant, Mine, Processing, Geotechnics, and Environment.
* Manage technical relationships with engineering consulting firms and contractors.
* Collaborate on complementary activities assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Licensed and registered professional in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
Specialization in power electrical systems, instrumentation & control, project management, or value engineering is desirable.
Minimum 8 years of experience in electromechanical projects for copper concentrator plants or open-pit mining.
Experience in design, supervision, and construction of electromechanical systems in mining.
Minimum 4 years of project management experience using PMI methodology.
Experience in commissioning processes for industrial or mining plants.
Experience in:
Copper concentrator plants (sulfide flotation)
Medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
