We are currently seeking a Mechanical Technician. **Job Description** * Strictly comply with SGS’s and the client’s safety guidelines applicable to the tasks to be performed. * Carry out duties assigned by the immediate supervisor according to the scheduled maintenance plan, executing daily work orders (WOs) as per the assigned specialty. * Perform maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, and/or predictive, as directed by the immediate supervisor) on pumps, linear screens (AGAs), electrical panels, cabinets, or other equipment assigned to the service. * Ensure operational continuity and optimal performance of equipment and tools assigned to the service, while also safeguarding such equipment and tools. * Continuously review procedures, work instructions, and records of the Integrated Management System (IMS), proposing necessary modifications to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness. **Requirements** * Minimum three years’ verifiable experience performing electrical maintenance tasks. * Preferably experience working in companies within the mining and industrial sectors. * Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electric motors and power transformers; diagnostics of electric motors and power transformers. * Insulation diagnostics using the Baker AWA-IV Megger, applying IEEE 43-2000, ANSI/EASA AR100, and NETA 2013 standards. * Experience using measurement instruments: laser alignment tools, pyrometers, lux meters, megohmmeters, phase indicators, vibration analyzers, thermographic analysis of low-voltage switchgear (based on NETA standards), earth resistance testers (terrameters), and grounding system maintenance. **Additional Information** * Formal employment contract from day one. * Statutory life insurance. * Bi-weekly salary payments. * Ongoing training opportunities. * Corporate partnership benefits.
