This Position reports to: Project Operations Manager Your Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the design authority for a low- to medium-complexity engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or parts of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also demonstrate your expertise by applying fundamental design thinking/design-for-excellence concepts to projects. The work model for this role is: Hybrid This role contributes to the Electrification Business Unit in Lima, Peru. You will be primarily responsible for: * Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to carry out engineering assignments. * Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. * Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals/presentations. * Using checklists to verify designs in accordance with applicable standards and engineering guidelines. * Managing engineering suppliers and quality control of steel structures. Qualifications for the Position * You hold a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. * You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this role or similar roles. * You communicate fluently in English, demonstrating intermediate-to-advanced technical and professional proficiency in the language. * You are proficient in mechanical and electrical design software. * Preferred knowledge of mechanical design software: SOLIDWORKS / SAP2000 / AutoCAD; electrical design software: EPLAN / ETAP / DIGSILENT and others **At ABB, we are committed to addressing global challenges.
