Job Summary:
Supervise compliance with the safety, occupational health, and environmental management system to reduce risks and ensure operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead SSOMA supervision and risk management.
2. Participate in social programs and corporate social responsibility.
3. Advise on the development of the risk inventory.
Mission and Objective: Supervise compliance with all elements of the safety, occupational health, and environmental management system to minimize process deviations that could result in harm to personnel, equipment, and/or operational continuity
Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with safety regulations.
* Support work permit management.
• Support community relations management • Participate in social and corporate social responsibility programs • Channel and report conflicts or incidents involving communities
* Follow up on the action plan for controlling identified risks.
* Participate in developing the baseline IPERC and monitor its updating.
* Advise line management on developing the risk inventory.
* Deliver SSOMA training, inductions, and drills as per the training program.
* Prepare monthly SSOMA management reports with KPIs and reports.
* Analyze accidents using HSEC system methodologies.
* Identify exposure agents and halt high-risk operations.
* Ensure supervisory presence during high-risk activities.
* Report progress and compliance with the SSOMA program.
* Supervise use of PPE and compliance with the SSOMA Management System.
* Execute PETS procedures, conduct OPT, OPS, and inspections.
* Report incidents and participate in investigations and corrective action closure.
Requirements:
+ Preferred: 4 years of experience in safety and/or SSOMA within the mining sector
+ Preferred: 2 years of experience in blasting
+ Bachelor's degree and professional registration in mining engineering, geology, metallurgy, or related fields
+ Training or specialization studies in safety and environment, with a minimum duration of 120 hours
