Job Summary:
Efficiently supervise resources (equipment and personnel) to ensure contractual compliance, organize daily work, verify scheduling, and guarantee safety in blasting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the work team to achieve goals and objectives.
2. Ensure the quality and safety of blasting operations.
3. Coordinate resources and activities for program implementation.
OBJECTIVE: Efficiently supervise resources (equipment and personnel) to fulfill the contract established with the client.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Organize the daily work of assigned personnel.
* Verify correct detonator scheduling and/or priming.
* Verify resource availability for operations or request them promptly.
* Inspect blasting operations before and after execution.
* Ensure the work team has the necessary tools to perform tasks.
* Ensure proper allocation of equipment, personnel, raw materials, accessory stock, and high explosives for operations.
* Ensure blasting process activities are carried out in accordance with established procedures.
* Coordinate with the maintenance department regarding equipment availability to ensure blasting program execution.
* Conduct weekly and monthly planning, information, and coordination meetings with supervision.
* Develop and validate procedures to ensure operational quality and personnel safety.
* Lead the work team to achieve goals and objectives.
* Be responsible for personal safety and that of coworkers, immediately reporting any unsafe acts or conditions; likewise, immediately report work-related accidents and near-miss incidents to enable prompt action and prevent more serious operational consequences.
* Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures specified in PETS, PETAR, Continuous/ATS IPERC, Internal Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, and other applicable documents at the start of each work shift, to prevent incidents and maintain a safe working environment from the outset of activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field; licensed, registered, and authorized to practice.
* Four years of experience in similar positions.
* Intermediate office software proficiency.
* Availability to work under a 14x7 regime\.
