Instrumentation Technician

Job Summary: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instruments and control systems to ensure reliability, accuracy, and quality of the final product and continuity of the process. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain plant availability, product accuracy, and quality. 2. Analyze and improve PLC and drive programming. 3. Propose opportunities for improvement in equipment handling and operation. Mission: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instruments, control systems, measurement devices, actuators, analyzers, and communication networks, thereby maintaining equipment or system reliability and accuracy level, with the objective of ensuring final product quality and process continuity. Responsibilities: * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on process instruments and control systems according to maintenance standards, aiming to maintain plant availability, accuracy, and product quality; continuously coordinate with direct supervisor. * Measure key process operating variables; calibrate and configure measurement and control instruments, maintaining accuracy within established tolerances; perform industrial process controller operation and tuning tasks; record measured values and document maintenance activities. * Analyze PLC, drive, and other equipment programming to identify programming errors and implement improvements for production processes. * Monitor proper operation and condition of various equipment involved in the production process, reporting their status; report incidents using the designated format. * Coordinate with immediate supervisor and/or production supervisor regarding shutdowns of machines and equipment for repair, including partial or complete disassembly for inspection. * Provide timely response to user needs to promptly restore operational conditions and activities of production plants. * Identify and track equipment reliability parameters at the plant. * Implement and manage the Predictive Maintenance program and conduct statistical failure analysis. * Interpret and/or develop control schematics, P\&ID diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings for equipment installation, as well as apply technical manuals to detect faults and perform maintenance. * Provide timely response to user needs to promptly restore operational conditions and activities of production plants. * Propose opportunities for improvement in handling and operation of instruments, measurement equipment, and control systems. * Ensure that materials, tools, and personal protective equipment used are appropriate and in correct quantities. * Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor, always within the scope of competence. Requirements: * 1 year of experience in this position * Industrial Electrical Technician * Familiarity with reading and interpreting P\&ID, mechanical, single-line electrical, and block diagrams is desirable. * Familiarity with operation of measurement equipment is desirable.
