A metalworking company is looking for a Lathe Assistant with experience in conventional lathes to join our team. **Requirements:** * Experience in conventional turning * Minimum of 6 months of experience in lathe work (conventional lathe) * **Experience alone is acceptable** or **incomplete, ongoing, or completed studies** in production mechanics * Preferable to reside in areas near Puente Piedra (**Grifo Norteño, 3 Regiones**), not essential * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is desirable **Responsibilities:** * **Preparation and maintenance:** keep the work area clean, inspect metal parts, and assist in basic tool maintenance * **Measurement and quality control:** use measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances * **If qualified, support technical tasks:** assist in creating drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks, support quotation processes, and assist in welding operations (clamping and alignment of parts) * **Compliance with regulations:** follow safety rules and perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor Job type: Full-time Work location: On-site employment
