Job Summary:
Provide advanced and specialized technical assistance in blasting to optimize performance indicators using accessories and explosives.

**Responsibilities**
Provide advanced and specialized post-sales technical assistance and services to customers regarding the handling, manipulation, and correct use of explosives and blasting accessories, both in open-pit and underground operations.
**Specific Responsibilities**
a) Coordinate with mine departments responsible for assigning tasks or work areas to conduct follow-up, monitoring, evaluation, implementation, and recommendations for drilling and blasting patterns, aiming to optimize blasting performance indicators using our accessories and explosives.
b) Enter the mine heading to the task(s) assigned by the responsible department, driving the company-assigned vehicle accompanied by a designated staff member to survey the work area.
c) Monitor, collect, and evaluate data from completed blasts prior to implementing recommendations, to identify errors and failures in personnel performance and adherence to established or ongoing blasting standards.
d) Verify whether the process is being implemented and monitored; this function includes mesh marking in the work area, controlling drill parallelism, preparing charges for contour holes (controlled blasting), loading holes according to recommendations and established standards, as well as on-site verification of compliance.
**Knowledge and Requirements**
Mining Engineer with specialization in underground or open-pit blasting and over 4 years of experience in the sector.
**Technical Requirements**
* Proficiency in specialized drilling and blasting software such as JK Simblast, I\-Blast, Wipfrag, Blastware
* Proficiency in instrumentation equipment, seismographs, microtraps, devichots, etc. **4–5 years of experience in the sector.**
* Knowledge of electronic detonators, as well as emerging technologies such as centralized blasting and pumpable emulsion.
* Diagnosis and recommendation of optimal explosives and accessories for proper blasting.
* Design of drilling parameters.
* Fragmentation analysis.
* Establishment of damage criteria for various structures to control roof and wall stability in underground galleries.
