




Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead the Shotcrete spraying operation at an underground mine, ensuring safety, quality, and operational productivity. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead the Shotcrete spraying front at an underground mine 2. Comprehensive Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management 3. Quality Assurance (QA/QC) and Operational Control We are looking for a Resident Engineer with the capability and experience to lead our Shotcrete spraying front at an underground mine. Salary: To be negotiated Immediate payroll enrollment from Day 1 Who can perform the following duties: 1\. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management This is the top priority in underground mining. The Resident Engineer must: * **Ensure compliance** with OSH policies, internal regulations, and current mining legislation (e.g., Supreme Decree No. 024-2016-EM and its amendments). * **Hazard Identification and Risk Control (IPERC):** Supervise the implementation and adherence to IPERC procedures prior to Shotcrete spraying, controlling associated hazards (e.g., rock falls, ventilation, gases, moving equipment, chemical handling, etc.). * **Atmospheric Conditions:** Verify and ensure auxiliary ventilation is in place and that gas levels in the work area (support face) are safe. * **Training:** Ensure all personnel (operators, assistants, etc.) are properly trained and evaluated on the Shotcrete spraying procedure and equipment operation (e.g., spraying robots). 2\. Shotcrete Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Must guarantee that ground support complies with technical specifications: * **Technical Specifications:** Receive and execute work orders and support drawings, ensuring spraying conforms to **Geomechanics Department recommendations** (e.g., thickness, coverage, use of mesh or bolts, etc.). * **Material Control:** Supervise the quality and proper storage of materials (cement, aggregates, accelerating admixtures) prior to mixing. * **Application Supervision:** Monitor the mixing process (wet or dry method), accelerator dosage, and operator spraying technique to ensure proper **adhesion and strength**. * **Sampling and Testing:** Direct sampling of sprayed concrete at the work face to conduct **compressive strength tests** (cubes or cylinders) at specified intervals (e.g., at 7 and 28 days) and verify compliance with required strength. 3\. Operational Control and Productivity The Resident Engineer is responsible for efficiency and optimal resource utilization: * **Planning and Execution:** Receive and organize daily work orders, assigning personnel and equipment to meet scheduled support advancement targets (productivity). * **Resources and Logistics:** Manage and control efficient use of materials, equipment, tools, and consumables. Supervise logistics for Shotcrete delivery from the plant to the work face. * **Equipment:** Supervise transportation, installation, and **operational status of spraying equipment** (e.g., robots, stationary pumps) to minimize downtime due to mechanical failures. * **Reporting:** Prepare **daily and weekly progress, expenditure, and cost-control reports** for Project Management. * **Problem Resolution:** Analyze and propose solutions to technical or logistical issues affecting the spraying cycle.
