(PE02\) Location: Projects **Position Objective** ----------------------- Prepare documentation and basic designs within the engineer's specialty for an industrial plant design project in mining. **Responsibilities and Functions** --------------------------------- * Develop engineering designs according to the engineer's specialty. * Review and verify drawings prepared by drafters or designers. * Apply quality management system procedures applicable to design development. * Review standards and regulations applicable to the project. * Perform preliminary, basic, and detailed engineering development, and prepare technical documentation (descriptive reports, calculation reports, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs). * Prepare and review drawings (layout plans, elevations, sections, isometrics, functional diagrams). **Requirements** -------------- * Licensed, registered, and qualified Electrical Engineer. * Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical system design for industrial infrastructure, mining, hospital, or large-scale projects. * Proven experience leading basic, detailed, and "as-built" engineering development. * Participation in interdisciplinary reviews and coordination with mechanical, civil, instrumentation and control, architecture, and other disciplines. * Design and calculation of medium and low voltage electrical systems: substations, motor control centers (MCC), electrical panels, lighting, outlets, grounding, and lightning protection systems. * Proficiency in emergency and backup systems (UPS, generators, automatic transfer switches). * Preparation of single-line electrical diagrams, isometrics, control diagrams, and wiring diagrams. * Knowledge of national and international codes and standards. * Familiarity with automation and electrical integration systems.
